We are new to EMu, and would really appreciate some help from someone who has learnt the tricks.
We had an existing database which was migrated into EMu, and now have to go back and change various pieces of information to thousands of records. Naturally, we are looking for the simplest way to do this.
One example of this is under the References section. We have more than 3000 entries (citations usually) for the same book, and the book title is wrong on all of them. What is the simplest way to change this, without losing specific data (such as page numbers etc for individual items?).
This is just one such example - but I am assuming corrections could be made 'globally' in any of the sections (ie, Materials, or Locality) in the same way?
Any help/advice greatly welcomed
Gerard Wood

It sounds to me like you're after the Global Replace tool. Full details about how to use this functionality are provided in the EMu Help (click the Help button in the Command Centre).

In the EMu Help you'll find details here:

Working With EMu Records>Add, Edit And Save Records>Editing Tools>Global Replace

-OR-

Simply search for "Global Replace"

Hope this helps you.

Cheers

Gerard
