Hello to all:

We at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County are brand new KE clients just beginning phase one of a transition to Emu that involves several departments as well as centralized functions (museum wide registration, conservation and exhibit development). Anthropology (Archaeology and Ethnology) is not included in the first phase, but may come soon. When it does come, we will be transitioning from a Filemaker Pro database that was developed by our Collections Manger. I'd be very interested in being in hearing from staff responsible for any Anthropology or related collections and hearing about your Emu development and implementation process. We are especially interested in any advice you may have, dos and don'ts, hints, ideas, things-you-wish-you'd-known-then, etc. Many thanks -Karen Wise (I'm a curator in Anthropology as well as the person leading the Emu project museum-wide)
