Hi All,
I seem to remember at some point that EMu limited the number of multi-media objects you could attach to a single catalog record, to 200. I'm wondering if that's still true in the latest version?
If there is still a limit, I know how to prepare the collections so that they are EMu-ready, but I have my hands full with prep and migrating tasks, so I'd prefer not to do that work if there is not a limit.

Hi Nina,
Actually, in the FMNH catalogue there is a limit of 95 multimedia records that can be attached to any one catalogue record. This number may vary in different modules, but somewhere between 100-200 would be a good ball park figure. How many multimedia attachments were you hoping to make?

Hi Dan (and all),
For the FM catalog there's only 95 attachments possible? What are the maximum number of attachments for other people's (institutions) catalogs? (That question to the group)
With digital "chips" in cameras, and for event photography, like a big party or something, it's quite realistic for a photographer to shoot hundreds of images that would be catalogued as 1 main record in the catalog and then I'd want to attach the individual "frames", wouldn't I?
Hypothetically, what if I said I wanted to be able to attach 1,000 multi-media "things" to a single record in my catalog?
What's the hardware and/or software logic behind the limitation?
I guess I just answered your question with about 3 more questions...sorry 'bout that!
