At the Natural History Museum in London we have made a few changes to the basic Taxonomy in EMu as part of our Mineralogy migration projet.

I have attached three screenshots here. I am happy to provide all our screens total of eight)upon request.

Extensive customisation work to the existing taxonomy module in EMu will be handled as part of our Entomology project (currently running). This is still work in progress and I will update this forum and the Taxonomy Special Interest Group (SIG) for Natural History Institutions in due course.

If you require information in the meantime, please contact me. If you don't have my email address, please call me on +44 (0) 20 7942 6034.

At the Natural History Museum in London we have spent a lot of time and effort over the last few months in reviewing the standard taxonomy module.

Our approach is to design a zoological view based primarily on ICZN and a similar, albeit different, botanical view based primarily on ICBN.

We will be testing the ICZN-centric screen designs in the last two weeks of this month. Once the testing is complete, I will be in a position to post the screen designs to this site for your review. I hope you will find them of interest.

Development of the ICBN-centric view is scheduled for later in the year. I will keep you informed on progress.
