I have a dream wherein a user who is acting in a higher position can just have that higher user access added to his/her Registry entry (rather than completely changing their identity), then removed when they go back to their original position. My idea is that the higher access will "win". For example: User | fred | Group | Normal changes jobs and now needs "AboveNormal" permissions for EMu... however, some of the permissions in "AboveNormal" do not allow the user to do some of their duties in "Normal". So, my idea is that the one Registry entry could be appended with another user group, like this... User | fred | Group | Normal;AboveNormal Currently, they always need special access entries for their username so that they can continue some duties in EMu... but if they could just have all the possible user permissions listed under their one name entry, we wouldn't have to remember to create and then clear out all those extra entries. A possibility? -Karen at the Powerhouse |
