Currently in list view, the sort function acts on the entire retrieved list of records.
It would be great if we could select certain records and sort only those. This would be handy when doing a visual arrangement of records for some purpose (like you can in Excel).
For example, I am working in the Registry, trying to clean up some entries for a particular module, so I am dragging them up and down the list view, so they are grouped in a way that will help me see what's what.... then I want to select a particular bunch of records and sort them differently to the ones I've dragged to the top. I realise I can save a bunch of Groups... but I just want the visual capability; i don't need saved groups.. there's only about 20 records anyway.
I hope I described this sufficiently!
